Art23 is a dynamic art house specialising in the development of new art. We like art that is a little different, often quirky or even challenging but always fresh. We can offer this because we are a tribe of around 30 artists gathered together from across the globe.
At Art23 we don't display out artwork in galleries and wait for you to make a visit. We do things a little differently, we bring the art to you. Over a cup of coffee you can see hundreds of original pieces of art in your own environment, whether it's your sitting room or your office.
We are passionate about what we do and believe our art experience should be fun, impartial, accessible and affordable.

This month sees our first exhibition in China. This exciting development comes at a time when the Chinese art market is opening up and a new sense of creative freedom is growing amongst Chinese artists. To celebrate this we have chosen to show the works of two of our finest artists, one from China, the other from England. Our Chinese artist is Cai juzhen. At only twenty-three years old she displays huge amounts of talent. Her paintings display a combination of delicacy and freedom that transports the viewer to a less care-worn world. She is capable of taking the mundane and extracting a beauty from it in a way that makes you think it should have been there all along.
Our English artist is Dave Hancock. Dave has been involved in art and design his whole life and is now in the enviable position of struggling to keep up with the demand for his work. Though highly contemporary his current work has a suggestion of timelessness to it. This evokes associations as far reaching as 19th century Japanese art to 21st century image manipulation. The exhibition is being hosted by AAF Bejing and runs from 24th - 27th April 2008. |
